Introduction.
We take your right to privacy seriously and want you to feel comfortable using our web site. This Privacy Policy deals with personally identifiable information (referred to as “Data” below) that may be collected by us on our site. Sparks Insurance, Inc. has had a long-standing commitment to protecting your privacy.  As you are probably aware, laws require that we notify you of our privacy policy regarding the protection of the “nonpublic” personal information we collect as part of the process of obtaining and maintaining your insurance coverage.  We want you to know that we respect the confidentiality of your personal information.  The information you provided, or which we obtain when servicing your insurance coverage, is treated sensitively and held securely in our hands.  We are providing you this notice in accordance with current laws, but more importantly, because we want you to know we always valued your privacy.

 

Information we collect:  Nonpublic personal information is any information we obtain about you in the course of obtaining insurance or providing you with any of our services in connection with your insurance coverage.  The nonpublic personal information we obtain could include but is not limited to your Social Security #, medical history, employment history, driver record, credit history, income information, and other information on insurance applications.

 

Nonpublic information may be obtained from several sources including, but not limited to:

  • Your application, Claim forms, or other forms you complete as part of insurance transactions or services
  • Normal procedures involved in processing of a claim
  • Other sources such as credit bureaus, your employer, motor vehicle record reporting agencies, realtors and vehicle dealers.

 

Our Privacy & Security Procedures:  Sparks Insurance, Inc. put privacy and security measures in place long before we were required to by federal or state laws.  We enforce strict control over your nonpublic personal information and limit access to those involved in administering your insurance coverage or otherwise providing service related to your coverage.  We have put in place and continually evaluate procedures and contractual safeguards to secure the confidentiality of information, including physical safeguards.  In addition, we use encrypted outgoing email’s containing personal identifiable information.  We will maintain this commitment of privacy protection even if you are no longer a customer of Sparks Insurance, and we require all employees to adhere to Sparks Insurance, Inc.’s Confidentiality and Privacy policies.

 

How Do We Disclose Information:  The information we collect as described above is used to make coverage, service, benefit, and other insurance related decisions.  This information is sometimes shared, as permitted by law, with third parties in order to carry out daily business functions:  review, process, or service your coverage; or in connection with product offerings that offer opportunities to improve our customer’s financial security.  We do not share your or your employees’ personal information with non-affiliated third parties other than to carry out the daily business functions mentioned above.

 

Maintaining Accurate Information: We strive to maintain complete, accurate and current information on our customers.  If you believe any information in your customer records with us is insufficient, inaccurate, or out of date, please contact us so we can make the necessary correction.
